On top the distorted guitars and the rockin harmonium (yes, a harmonium can rock) Shilpa Ray sings with the passionate heart and soul of a crooner... who is slightly insane. Tonight Shilpa Ray will be performing at Mohawk Place with her Happy Hookers and celebrating the release of her new album. The album, Teenage and Torture, was recently rated 8/10 stars on Spin Magazine.  If you're in the mood to see something new and inspirational creative then rock out with Shilpa Ray tonight. Trust me. She will change your music listening world for the better. Get there on time to see the openers too... stellar line up of The Mordaunt Sisters, Arctic Death and Handsome Jack.  Doors are at 9pm. $10 cover.

Tonight at Filigrees: Love Scenes & Soundshaman

Friends, if you need something to do tonight, and you know you do, buffaBLOG favorite Love Scenes will be entertaining the masses at the N A C Filigree's Gallery & Boutique.  If you have yet to catch Love Scenes, then be sure to check them out tonight.  In just the short amount of time they have been playing out in Buffalo, they have already gained a very respectable following and continue to impress with their musical talents.  Each show, a new element is added, and both Leah's voice and TJ's synth pop only get stronger by the minute.  Tonight, they will also be unveiling their brand new light show! Rami Abu-Sitta, member of Dotsun Moon, will be opening the show with his side project, Soundshaman.  Abu-sitta, will be going on around 8:45, so be sure to get there early as he gets the party started.
